The lights origionally look like this.
Using a Dremel, cut the ends off.
A little different angle.
Wrap with electrical tape.
Finished.
You can see how much less room it takes up now.
Can you see it better on a white background?

I cut one of the light controllers apart to see if it could be mounted in a smaller package. Probably not. Good news is it still works.
